RED VALLEY – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN (FULL-DAY)

Our vehicle will stop by your hotel at 03:40 a.m. approx., continuing towards the south of Cusco for 2 hours and a half hours to the Community of Japura. In this place, we will have the a breakfast buffet. After breakfast we will continue the trip with our transport to Kairawiri, the place where we will begin the walk (height of 4,600 masl.). Here, our guide will explain ways of walking in heights, travel time and distances. He will also provide a small snack and sticks for your best progress. Those who are not in optimal physical conditions for the walk have the option to rent a horse in this part and to continue its along the route, which will last approximately 2 hours. Arriving at the Colored Mountain and highest point (5,080 masl) you will take a little rest where the guide will explain about the formation of colors in the mountain and a guided portion of 20min approx. From this point, you will be able to see the colorful and beautiful mountain. Later you will be given time to climb the main viewpoint. Then, after a short rest we will return to the Red Valley (red mountains and on its skirts the beautiful Red Valley). Sometimes you can see the Vicunas grazing wildly. Through this valley, we will return to the Community of Japura, and from there return to the city of Cusco.

Level 3: Few flat lands (greater slope)
Level 4: Pending and rough lands.
