Cusco – Pukakasa Pass – Ananta
- Early departure from Cusco towards the southern Sacred Valley in tourist transport (approx. 3 hours).
- Observation of the Vilcanota mountain range and Andean villages en route.
- Start of the hike with a moderate ascent to Pucacocha Lagoon (scenic lunch).
- Ascent to the Pucacocha Pass (around 5,000 masl), with views of Ausangate and Andean camelids.
- 2-hour descent to Ananta, the first campsite under the starry sky.
The first day allows for gradual acclimatization and enjoyment of high-mountain landscapes, with the opportunity to observe local wildlife such as alpacas and vicuñas.
Ananta – Vinicunca – Cusco
- Early breakfast and gradual ascent (2 hours) to the Vinicunca Pass (5,080 masl).
